I thought today I'd post a bit about how Hummingbird And The Rose started, where the name came from and then talk a bit about what I've been up to this week, as I've been so busy having fun I feel like I've neglected my blog a bit!
The first photo is just a drawing someone I used to be really close to did on the back of a comment form from my university, and I kept hold of it for ages until a few days before I started my blog, which I when I rediscovered it. I'd been wanting to start my blog for a while, but couldn't think of a name and I didn't want to pick something that didn't mean anything to me. I don't have much contact with the person who drew this, and when I found it the picture stayed I my head for days, and thus Hummingbird And The Rose was born! I love the drawing, it's so delicate and pretty, just like a hummingbird an a rose, and actually means something to me. I've tried to draw this myself but it turns out drawing hummingbirds is not my forte!
I've been horse riding this week! I absolutely adore horses, and used to go rising every week when I was a little girl, until I stopped at about 8ish. I got the chance to go riding a few weeks ago, and just went for a mini hack down a country lane and back but I absolutely loved it, and didn't want to get off!!!
I've visited the stables pretty much every day this week as I've been staying up in Harrogate, and went for a lesson in an indoor school on a gorgeous horse called Hebe, the same one I rode before. I also learned to lunge a horse, Hershey, the white one in the photos, and the other horse is Leah, she's such a sweetheart! Will get a photo of Hebe to show you later, she's beautiful!
Anyway, I'll have the next Pretty Little Liars themed post up tomorrow so I hope you're ready for it!!
As usual, photos will be massive ad in the wrong place because I'm on my phone but I'll sort it as soon as I can!
