As someone with ghostly pale skin, I've always been really scared of bronzers! I saw a review of one of the Accessorize bronzers on a blog, but couldn't find that shade anywhere. I was in Superdrug and wanted something to give my face a bit of a glow and maybe help contour my face a little, and spotted this Accessorize Baked Bronzer Duo in the shade Bondi.
I love the packaging, and it feels really secure too so I know it's going to explode everywhere all over my things, and give them a lovely bronze glow. The bronzer itself is beautiful to look at, as the two shades are marbled with lighter and darker threads of gold running through them. It's really pigmented too, as you can see from the swatches, but you can easily control how deep the bronzer is on your skin by just brushing it lightly across your skin. I like to tap my brush into the lid and swirl it around to make sure the bronzer is evenly distributed on the brush before applying.
Right. I'm not gonna lie. This stuff smells... odd. Not horrendous, if you remember those little gooey aliens you used to get as a kid in those plastic egg things that smelled funny, it smells just like that, but less strong. It fades as soon as you apply it, and it's not that strong in the pan, not until you stick your nose right in there!
I really love this product, and it lasts all day without fading, or smudging or anything. I use this blended in with my blusher, (MAC creme blush in Dollymix) and with a little powder highlighter along the top of my cheekbone. I love the colour of the bronzer when mixed with the blusher as it makes the most beautiful golden peachy pink colour, which really suits my skin. I use a little of the darker shade underneath where I apply my blush just to contour a little, which I think works really well.
Here are a few swatches and photos of the packaging and how it looks on my skin. The light was awful when I took these pictures and the artificial light was quite yellow, so my skin looks funny!
Have you tried this? What did you think to it?
