A few weeks ago I posted about my Benefit make-over and haul, and then mentioned that I went back the next day to pick up a few more things! This was one of the things I got on my second trip, as I used the face wash I'd got and then just my old moisturiser, and my skin wasn't even remotely soft, it didn't feel hydrated at all so I was like "Right, I need to go back to Benefit NOW!" I also got my sister one as we both have really, really, really dry skin and I was so impressed by this product!
I absolutely adore the packaging for Benefit's skincare. They all come in these super cute little green and creamy coloured boxes, but I managed to sit on my box and damage it so that's why I've not photographed it! This moisturiser comes in a thick, heavy glass pot that feels really luxurious, and I love the vintage styling of the pot! It's got a faux-wood/cork effect lid, so it's like those old apothecary style pots and bottles, and then inside it has a sort of plastic inner lid thing, with a ridge on so you can take it off easily. I think that this is a great idea, because if you keep this in a bag or box or something where it's not kept upright all the time, it stops the product from touching the lid so you don't get covered in it when you open it!
This product smells AMAZING too. I'm not sure how to describe it, it's sort of sweet and feminine but it's also really clean and refreshing. Just go smell it!
As you can see from the photos, it's quite thick in consistency, and feels very luxurious (used that word twice in one post!) and like it will intensively moisturise your skin. You don't need much of this product, as a little goes a long way, which is something I love about Benefit's skincare range. It sinks into your skin really quickly too, and doesn't leave any greasy residue or oily feelings at all. I think this would be better suited to dry/normal skin, but I think they do another moisturiser, a triple performing one that seems to be better on oilier skin, as I took my step-sister there for a make-over the other day and she has quite oily skin sometimes, and it did a great job. This doesn't make my skin greasy or oily, and I do use it in the morning and then again in the evening, even though it feels more like a night cream. Another thing I've noticed is that it's completely stopped my foundation from clinging to any dry patches of skin or sinking into certain areas, which I'm really impressed with as no primer could seem to sort the problem!
It seems to be lasting a long time, but I do know that when it runs out I'll be straight back at the Benefit counter buying another one!! Definitely my favourite moisturiser ever. I've got a few other bits from the skincare range, so I'll be posting my reviews about them shortly.
You can pick up this moisturiser here.
