My MAC lipstick collection just got a little bit bigger! Now I've returned to my natural hair colour, I can pull off so many colours that were out of bounds for me before as they clashed horribly with my bright red mane. I originally sent out to get one of the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse lipsticks in the shade 202, which is a gorgeous bright fuchsia, but when I went to Meadowhall I couldn't find one in stock anywhere. I wandered into MAC, which is always dangerous, and quickly spotted this little beauty lighting up the lipstick stand! I snapped it up and raced back to the car to put it on, and it was definitely love.
It's an Amplified finish, so it's really bright, and after application it has a slight gloss which fades to a matte finish after about an hour. I personally prefer the matte finish, but I do like the gloss. It's incredibly long lasting, which is one of the main reasons I love MAC lipsticks, and I've received so many compliments since I've started wearing this! It's a blue toned fuchsia, so makes your teeth look white, but it is very bright so it might not be suitable for everyday wear unless you are feeling confident. I personally love it for everyday, but I keep my eyes neutral and don't go overboard with the eyeliner.
I wanted Show Orchid, but apparently they don't sell it in concessions and I don't know where my nearest MAC Pro store is, so I'll just have to dream for the time being.
What do you think to Girl About Town?
If you have any recommendations for me about which MAC lipsticks to try next, please let me know! I'm always wanting to expand my collection, but I can't ever choose which ones to get!

Review - MAC Fix +
I picked this up a few weeks ago after testing it in the store, and forgot about it for a while. I've rediscovered it recently and can't believe I lost it! I was a bit unsure as to whether or not to buy it, as the MAC concession near me only sell the 100ml size at £12.50, and I was hoping to just get the travel size one at £7.50 but the mua told me they don't stock it in concessions.
I love the packaging, and the fact that you can just twist the cap to stop it from spraying everywhere by itself, but I'm always worried it might just twist back around and leak. It's not happened yet, but with me, I'm sure it's only a matter of time. The bottle is pretty big, and as I only use two sprays for my face I think it's going to last me a long time, and £12.50 isn't that much to pay for something I love as much as this.
It's got all sorts of goodies in it, things to make your skin less red and angry, to calm, soothe, and moisturise, and I've been spritzing it on before using my beloved Benefit moisturiser and it has helped my skin feel healthy, and I've noticed fewer breakouts since I've been using it too.
It's also meant to refresh your make-up, and I was a bit concerned about spraying my face with it after I'd applied my make-up in case it just made my mascara run everywhere and leave my foundation looking streaky, but it really doesn't at all. I usually use powder to set my make-up, and it leaves me with a powdery/cakey look sometimes if I'm a bit heavy handed, so I've been using this to eradicate that and it leaves my skin glowing and fresh, but not at all shiny. I have noticed that it makes my make-up last longer, as sometimes I'm up in the morning, make-up goes on, and I'll be out all day, then working in the evening so I might not be home til half 12/1 in the morning and before using this, I'd always have to fix my make-up, but this keeps it looking freshly applied until I scrub it off before bed.
I thought I'd show you how it looks once you've just sprayed it on your face, as when it dries it just looks like you've freshly applied your make-up! Excuse my lips please, I'd just tried to rub off my lipstick so I could put a new one on and it wouldn't budge! Oh, and yes, my hair has changed quite a bit since the last time I posted!
I'd recommend this 100% if you want something to help moisturise your skin throughout the day, if you want a refreshing spray that won't affect your make-up, and if you want to keep your make-up looking immaculate, it's so good! And you could always try the £7.50 one if you didn't want to pay £12.50 first.
Have you tried this? What did you think?

Shopping My Stash - What I'm Using At The Minute
I'm baaaaack! Yes, I know I disappeared off the face of the earth for quite a while, but I am well and truly back now, and I've been reunited with the wonder that is the internet so let the blogging commence!
I've been reading a few Shopping the Stash posts lately and I LOVE them! I really enjoy reading them and after sifting through all my make-up and beauty products, I've found a few that really need using up, even though they may not be my favourite things. I've also rediscovered a few things that I've fallen back in love with, so it's definitely been a worthwhile thing to do! I'll put links to where you can buy the products below, and if I've done a review on it on my blog I'll put a link to that too so you can check it out in more detail.
MUA Lipstick in Shade 11
This used to be my favourite everyday lipstick, as it's a little bit deeper than my natural lip colour but looks amazing with pretty much every make-up look I paired it with, it's incredibly moisturising and lasts for ages too, and even after the sheen has worn off after 3/4 hours, it leaves your lips with a gorgeous tint. Amazing. So glad to have rediscovered this! Read my full review here. I'll definitely be repurchasing this when it's all gone. As with all MUA lipsticks it's only £1.
MUA Single Eye Shadow In Shade 1 Pearl
I love this eye shadow, and I've repurchased it quite a few times as it's only £1. I use it pretty much every day, either all over my eye lid before using the Heaven & Earth palette to create a neutral smokey look, or just in the inner corner to make my eyes look bigger and brighter. I seem to get through it really fast, I usually have to buy a new one each month but as it's so cheap I don't mind.
The Body Shop Born Lippy Strawberry Lip Balm
I got three of these around Christmas time when I got a £15 The Body Shop giftcard with my Cosmopolitan magazine. I gave two of them away and kept one for myself, and I just keep this in my bag. I don't know if it really helps my lips that much, they are pretty dry at the minute and while this feels like it's helping at first and stops that awful dry and painful chapped lip feeling, it doens't actually seem to do that much, and I much prefer Carmex or something else. I've been desperately using this as much as I can to use it up but it won't go down! I've finally made a little dent in this but I won't be repurchasing it any time soon. It's only £2 but it just doesn't seem to do anything! It does tint your lips quite well though, and leaves them a pretty rosy pink colour, but I'd rather have a bog standard clear balm that actually worked.
Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipstick In 020 Shake-Up Pink
I've had this for so long, and I've been hunting online and can only find this shade on eBay so I think it must have been discontinued. It's a lovely matte pink, but it's quite a bright baby pink. Despite this, it's actually really wearable! Another thing that makes it a bit different from most matte lipsticks is the fact that it's incredibly moisturising... Yep, a matte lipstick that moisturises your lips! Woohoo! If this wasn't discontinued I'd definitely repurchase this, and I think I'm going to pick up a few of the other shades that are available too to see how they compare to Shake-Up Pink. The only thing that bothers me about this is the fact that it SMELLS. I love the scent of MAC lipsticks, the sweet vanilla, but this smells kind of like synthetic cucumbers, watermelon, maybe even peach. It just doesn't appeal to me that much but I'm sure most people would love it! It's £6.29, so it's not wild money, and it's really long lasting too.
MUA Heaven & Earth Palette
The famous Heaven & Earth palette. Mine is very battered and bruised, and it's missing the lid! I originally bought the MUA Pearl eyeshadow to replace the one in the top left in this palette that I used up really quickly, but I adore this to create my everyday eye make-up look, which is just a neutral smokey eye and if you'd like to see it just let me know and I'll put up a proper review of this with photos of the looks I create using it. It's £4 and I'll repurchase this when I run out of more shades, I'm tempted by the Urban Decay Naked and Naked 2 palettes but they are just so expensive!
Accessorize Baked Bronzer Duo In Shade 4 Bondi
I love this bronzer, it's perfect for my skin but I just don't use it anymore. I used it a few times and swatched it for a review here, but lately I've just been loving my natural pale skin with a pink/peach blush, especially as I've got my hair more of a true red shade so this is being neglected. It's £6 but I can't find this shade anywhere, but Golden Sands is incredibly similar.
Technic Prime It Illuminating Face Primer
I LOVE this! I usually use my Benefit The PoreFessional, but I'm just worried it's going to run out soon and it's so expensive, so I think I'm just going to buy six Glamour magazines next month as they all come with Benefit samples and stock up! This really does make your skin glow without looking shiny, oily or greasy, and I got mine for £1.99 from Bodycare. Definitely going to repurchase this. You can buy it online but it's about double the price.
Technic Glitter Nail Polish In Carnival
My beloved glitter polish, which I've reviewed here. I adore this, it's got so much glitter in it and for 99p it's crazy cheap. My sister bought one of these with bright blue metallic glitter and that's stunning too so I'll put a review of that on here too, as I've stopped biting my nails! It's been two weeks, which is some sort of record, so I've been painting them lots to celebrate. I'm going to repurchase this the next time I go to Bodycare as it's incredibly and so cheap!
I hope you liked the post, let me know what you think and if you've done a Shopping The Stash video/blog post please link it below so I can see! Also, I've done a couple of YouTube videos, so if you want to watch them and/or subscribe here's the link! I've got a few more videos that I'll be uploading this week so stay tuned!
